Default Boost controller help getting remap tomorrow

I am going in to remap tomorrow so I though I better set up my boost controller properly. The trouble is it keeps over boosting. Its an HKS IV. It appears to do the learn thingie ok and it tells me my stock boost is 0.47bar(should this be 0.7bar)

Whenever I try and set it up to 1.1bar it overboosts to 1.2bar at least and the same when I try and set it up to 1.2 bar it overboosts to 1.25bar maybe more. I have tried changing the offset but it does not really do much. According to the instructions an offset change of +-14 points makes about 0.1bar difference, but that does not happen. You have +-50 poiints to play with and I have almost used them all up.

The only way I can seem to get a steadyish 1.2bar boost is to set it to 1.1bar and have the offset almost at max.

Would a hole in any of the hoses cause this? or is there a chance there is a loose connection on the plug connecting the control unit and the engine bay unit.

Any help or things to try would be greatly appreciated.

My car is R plate 97 wagon with the following engine mods if this makes any difference,

K&N kit
ScoobySport Downpipe
Straight through Center Section
Magnex Back box
Walbro
HKS SSQV
STI TMIC
Apexi SAFC-II
HKS IV Boost Controller

Thanks Chris..
