Smile rollbearing, ballbearing and thrustbearing...

hi, i'd like to know the differencies between all rollbearing, ballbearing and thrustbearing turbos. wich are the best? sorry but don't know nothing about that. also can any1 explain what's a "bearing" (english is not my native language, and technical words are not my speciality )
also my sti 3 has a vf23, what is it, i mean what kind of them is it.

ok for the infos, but wich of them is the vf23??
is it a good turbo? max pressure (bar if possible) and power at rpm??
