Default Check engine light please help

It's a 93 wrx not even had it a week so don't knoe much about them yet.

Driving to work this morning after about 30mins into the drive the check engine light came on and stayed on until i turned the ignition off and on then after another 20mins or so same again. Came on 4 times alltogether but only once on the way home. By the way i was cruising bettween 80-90 when it came on. No strange noises still drove exactly the same with the light on.

Any ideas what it could be i.e common faults???
Thanks for any help.

check the codes to see what is wrong if you go under dash right where the steering colunm is there are 2 plugs black plug them in and turn key on the check engine light will flash long flashes are 10ns short are 1ns there are a set of green plugs there to those are to clear the ecu if you plug them in and rev at 2500 for 5min that will clear ecu or disconnect the negitive terminal for five min. and it will reset let me know what the numbers are and I will tell you what it is...

should have read this before.... If your idle valve is knackered then that could be the cause to your crap fuel economy.

With the mods you listed I would have thought you'd have had some sort of remap but you need to find out and get that valve fixed then see how it goes.
