Stick the adapter back in and araldite it round the edges?

if the bolt went back in with no issue then I suggest the thread is wrong on the adaptor..

buy from a breaker the adaptor that fits the OE oil pressure switch into the block below the alternator.. this will have the correct thread.

threads should be the same its from the kit from LTA (of wht ever there called) i purchased it from ASP in Birtley whom are Subaru Spec..
