I would just like to know if my engine is ok to set the boost at i bar or 15 psi. my Engine was rebuild by API in 2003 so it is not a old engine with a lot of miles thanks i advance

15 psi will not be a problem on ur engine. how much was it over boosting? was you hitting fuel cut? how are you planning to limit boost? dawes device?
dawes helps with boost spikes when using decat downpipes, and i expect boost spikes on a full bore 3inch would be quite bad...

car has always had boost problem but the garage adjusted the waste gate but this caused a blowing and rattle down the exhaust so they tightened up the waste gate up it over boosts is not cutting back i am thinking i will just have to go to andy for an apexi and remapp is expensive but looking like only option

sounds like the waste gate was adjusted to much! do u have a boost gauge?

fit a dawes or a similar valve, not a bleed type, then you can set up the boost and waste gate. dawes works very well and stops boost creep, which is the wastegate opening just a little bit causing you to loose boost before max boost is achived.

.9bar is standard for a 98 - 99, not sure about newer or older ones. boost cut on these is 1.2 bar so up to there you are pretty safe, over that then you might get lean running issues. have you hit boost cut? like hitting a brick wall when going for it.

when you hit boost cut you know you know you have gone just a bit to far and then ease back a touch, the adjustment shouldnt be done by altering the waste gate bar though.if you want to get ur wastegate back to where it should be ill count the threads on mine an and that should get you back to where is should be ish...
