You can do but do remember if the rad then pops and you lose your water quickly you could be looking at major engine work time.........the rads are only £150ish or many places will repair them for half the cost.
Look at it this way.........if you ruin your engine you'll still have to get a rad as well
Dave.

Like using eggs; Rad weld should only be seen as a temporary fix to a cooling system leak on a car you don't care about.

It can impair the cooling ability of the engine as it coats all the internals of the cooling system and water ways. This affects any car, turbo or not.

Personally I would not use Radweld, or anything similar, in a turbo'd car. The stuff works by solidifying when it comes into contact with air - ie when it finds the leak. If you are unfortunate enough to have a air bubble, or for that matter a slight leak, in the coolent galleries of the turbo, these will get clogged up with the stuff & the next you know is an over heated & quite likely broken turbo.....

If you have used th estuff, you can try & flush it out of the system, but can you be sure it's not already blocked something it shouldnt have.......?
