Default Need help. Non starter.

Hi guys, i need some help here.
I've got a 93 WRX import, pretty standard, just a Bailey dv and an afterburner exhaust.
last week she started running poorly on idle when cold. This morning i started up and had to scrape the ice of the screen. While i was doing this i noticed the idle was hunting upto about 2500 rpm then falling again. I drove to work and it seemed fine once it warmed up.
I've come out from work tonight, started the car.....it fired then imediately stalled. After that it would not start, it's just turning over .
It's pitch black where outside my work, so i couldn't see a thing. I've had to leave it there for the night (and hope it's still in one piece when i return tomorrow).
Any ideas/suggestions what to look for tomorrow.
I'm wondering if it could be the crank sensor, but i'm just guessing really.

Connect your wires under steering wheel and check the cel for codes. This should show if a sensor is at fault.

Okay, it still wouldn't start this morning.
I connected the 2 black plugs and it flashed up a fault code of 45. This shows up as pressure sensor-pressure exchange solenoid valve.
I rang the local Subaru dealer to see if they could shed any light, but no luck. The guy did go and ask a couple of mechanics in the workshop, but they suggested i take the car down there and plug it into their machine.
I work at a motor factors, so luckily we've quite a few good mechanics as customers. One of them had a look at the car for me, it has good fuel pressure, but there is no spark.
He didn't have a harness to fit my car, but he gave the number of somone who does.
So tomorrow he's coming down to have a look.
I still have a feeling it's the crank or cam sensor, but we'll see tomorrow.
