Old thread....but I have one! Good piece of kit! And costs the same as the suggested ebay + apexi, so there is no question which one to choose!

I am wondering if anyone has their original installation instructions? I have lost mine, and am wondering how to clean the filter. I know it's not oiled, so assume just a clean with soap and water and dry?

Mark - where did you get the prodrive CAI for £100? Even in the US they are listed as $275 without shipping?

BTW the ads state soap & water.

The poster quoted £40 + Apexi filter £100, so say £140, which is $280

Granted postage on that, but it is a quality item. I have had both Mocom Racing and JollyGreenMonster comment on how good it is, and the former saying it was the best made/fitting CAI he had ever seen.

Doesn't say though if the UK will manufacture (or sell) USA specific products...

Adam @ Prodrive says that USA stock is coming back to the UK and is likely to be availabe here. Nick Wadeson is the contact for selling parts directly within the UK.

Interesting, I wonder why he sold it, as he was very happy with it last time I spoke to him.

Yeah, off to Pakistan Saturday, so have to catch up when I get back. Intercooler went in by extending the arms by cutting a section out of a spare arm and inserting it into the existing arms. Maybe the 2.0 STI intercooler has the mounts in different places to the 2.5 STI intercooler. Andy told me it was his old intercooler and would be identifiable by the hole for his WI, but there were no holes....

Only thing left to do now is try and sort out the intercooler splitter...

...oh and sort out the AST's been told £65+VAT each to re-valve ....eek

Mike Wood has sent an email saying that the CAI won't be sold here as it is thought likely to pick up water. Looking at the install piccies above, I'm not surprised.
I think I'll keep to my DIY drainpipe design.
