Default MY05 STI JDM With DCCD Control, It Feels tight when turning, Is this wrght??

Hi,

got a MY05 STI Jap Import with the DCCD (Diff Control).

I drive it using the auto setting but when turning slow out of junctions it feels very tight like the diff is trying to lock, Is this normal as i have it on auto.

Thanks

John

It's a normal characteristic of DCCD. Wind it back a bit and it should free up.

He's saying it's doing it in Auto, someone with the same system might have a better idea, i've only ever had the manual DCCD

i have an 06 sti and i had the same problem when turning and after looking on here and speaking with subaru i found that its something to do with the front dif being so tightly wound, my back wheels sometimes spin when turning slowly in full lock, i have the dccd all the way back and when i need to park i take it off auto and its fine you can also lift the handbrake till the handbrake light comes on and this apparently has the same effect which is posted on here somewhere.

I know he's on about A-DCCD but the effect is still there. I have the same system

My 03 JDM does the same thing mate. Was a bit concerned about it thinking it might be something else but then realised it's probably just the diff. Now reading this has just confirmed it for me
