Default water leak

ok lads seem to have a water leak coming from around the small pipe on bottom ov engine near thermostat the one that is conected to the metal pipe that runs across the front inder the front pulley,its defo not the rubber pipes any ideas

no cars been running fine, notice abit ov steam when pulled up checked water needed about 2pints to top up, checked for obvious leaks and thats where is was any ideas

Possibly the water pump if you are sure all pipes are connected well and not leaking

The metal pipe that runs behind the cam covers to a rubber pipe that connects to the header tank, make sure this connection is good. The small rubber hoses at the bottom make sure all the connections are tight.

If it where the water pump leaking I would expect to find water on the block thermostat area rather than the pipes...


The only way to no for sure is to investigate further...

stripped down now, looks like water pump is starting to failed, so hopefully back on the road tomoz
