Import Speedo change
Hi,
I still have a 180 km/h speedo fitted to my 97 STi and was wondering if I bought a UK cluster and just swapped the speedo would it work ok. Rather than use a converter?
Cheers,
Andy.

If its pre97 then its more than likely cable operated (mechanical) convertor required.
Get a convertor & place a mph sticker over the kph.
The convertor fits inbetween the speedo cables (gearbox)
Or change the speedo dial so its range is calibrated to read in mph.
Electronic type speedo (later cars 98 onwards) also needs a convertor but this is wired into your speedo wiring.
I doubt the speedo will read correct if you use uk speedo clocks.
