Unhappy Hit by a fallen tree

So I took ownership of a 2001 WRX Wagon on Sunday (I was up a mountain at the time - too difficult to explain). By Thursday, before I'd even seen the car, let alone driven it, my brother phoned me, rather sheepishly, to say a tree had fallen on it at his place.

I'm trying to avoid a full-blown insurance claim as the majority of the damage is just glass (£60 excess) but the spoiler took the majority of the impact and has snapped. My local dealer has quoted me £374+VAT for a replacement (coloured and delivered by nubile maidens, I assume).

What's my best source of a replacement? Second-hand? It's been a few years since I last had an Impreza (2 as Co cars - so didn't worry about such things). Would appreciate guidance.

Cheers

Richard

Default Bummer!

Comiserations my friend - still at least no one was in it...

I'd get one off ebay - there dead cheap & pretty easy to spray up & fit.

Thats what i did with mine & it looks pretty good.

It's a good excuse to buy a bigger sti style one too.

Can't decide if I've been lucky or unlucky. Couple of feet either way would have made all the difference.....
