Default Now mine's missing!!!

Just great,

Last night i developed a miss at lower revs in second, and now its quite bad, seems to be from low down in the rev range and seems to clear at higher revs. It was doing it in 2nd and 3rd.

I disconnected the knock sensor and reconnected it to make sure its seated correctly but i am still getting check engine lamp lighting.

could the 2 be linked? even though the light came on about a week ago nd has been on and off ever since ?

anyone offer any ideas what it may be?

Cheers

Dave

if classic then do an engine fault code check to find out what the CEL code is. If the cel is flashing on and off then it could be detecting misfire, if it's coming on for longer periods at a time then a sensor is probably giving a bad reading. Knock activity probably means whatever is causing the cel is causing fuelling issues. Low revs is possibly lambda.

reading cel code is first stop. If it's newage then you can't read the code without OBD II connector and software.

It does seem to do it in higher gears too, but its not so much a miss as a degredation in power wether it be small or large amounts of time, my guess is still the knock sensor telling the ecu its knocking, when its not!!

what do you reckon?
