Just a quick bit of info needed!!!! PLEASE!!
hi people, im kinda new to the scooby scene having just bought a 1.6 impreza as my second car!!! hehe!! anyway ive got a couple of things in my head planned, but i was just thinkin of decating it and more importantly changing the manifold to try and geta bit more power!!
now i found a few decats and manifolds here and there 4 a 2.0L sport and what i really need to know is would the decats on scoobyworld ive spoted fit the 1.6? maybe with a bit of pipe size changing even? and also would the 2.0L sport header fit the 1.6? ARE THE EXHAUST PORTS ON THE HEADS THE SAME SIZE ON THE 2.0L AS ON THE 1.6????
if any1 has any ideas to help me get a bit more brake short of sticking in a turbo! it would be much appreciated!!
all advice welcome!!!!
thanks, Nick

waste of money as your not going to see much power increase.
Non turbo engines work better with back pressure. If you take away the CAT and mess with the headers you will more than likely loose power.

You're pee'ing against the wind really. Even a full, properly designed, exhaust system will be unlikely to gain you more than 4-5bhp on such a small engined car. Although it will sound a bit better, there's not a lot of point considering the costs etc.
I would also doubt that the exhausts are the same for the 1.6 and 2.0. If you take the car to powerflow or the like, who make custome exhausts, they may be better suited to helping.
