Default Gems ECU help

Hi

Can anybody tell me if the Gems ecu in the for sale section

will fit my car. I have a UK MY98 (August)

August 98 is close to the change over to 99 however mostlikey yes it will fit..

the way to be sure is to remove the passenger footwell kickplate and check the ecu.. if it has three yellow plugs then it will fit.. if it has grey black and blue then your car is a 99 and it won't.. also if you post an engine bay picture it would be easy to identify if the car is a 98 or 99 model.

As long as they are both the 3 plug type, then yes, it would fit.
(had Gems on my '98 wagon)

A 99 car has 3 plugs too!

The v3-4 car has yellow plugs though, the v5-6 car has grey, blue and black plugs.

The v3-4 car has yellow plugs though, the v5-6 car has grey, blue and black plugs.

one of easiest is to look at engine bay.................
V3-4 cars have centre mounted coil pack.........
V5-6 have offset coil pack, sits on passenger side of manifold

Chriso2.5... the ecu I have for sale has the 3 yellow plugs off the top of my head... with the centre mounted coil
...
