Gems ECU help
Hi
Can anybody tell me if the Gems ecu in the for sale section https://www.scoobynet.com/private-sa...re-dongle.html will fit my car. I have a UK MY98 (August) Cheers Chris |
August 98 is close to the change over to 99 however mostlikey yes it will fit..
the way to be sure is to remove the passenger footwell kickplate and check the ecu.. if it has three yellow plugs then it will fit.. if it has grey black and blue then your car is a 99 and it won't.. also if you post an engine bay picture it would be easy to identify if the car is a 98 or 99 model. Thanks for that mate, I'll have a look when i get home.

As long as they are both the 3 plug type, then yes, it would fit.
(had Gems on my '98 wagon) |
A 99 car has 3 plugs too!
The v3-4 car has yellow plugs though, the v5-6 car has grey, blue and black plugs. |

V3-4 cars have centre mounted coil pack......... V5-6 have offset coil pack, sits on passenger side of manifold alyn |
