I got a Subaru standard towbar with single electrics fitted by dealer to my 02 bug wagon last year - about £350 notes fitted I think?

No complaints - it works well. Basically a bolt-on job but I was put off doing it DIY because electrics are not my thing and it could be tricky.

It ain't pretty but my car needs to do more than look good....

Cheers

I fitted a Witter towbar to an MY01 WRX. It was straightforward to do if you're reasonable handy, but did need some cutting of the rear bumper (really easy, and the cut doesn't show).

Electrics were no problem - spliced into rear light cluster wiring IIRC.

I bought mine from Witter's website for around £150, but don't know what they are now.
