Default whats best turbo for v5sti

looking at replacing turbo on my v5 just noticed its got a td04 !! fitted to it,obviously not the correct turbo,what would be best turbo to fit for good boost throughout the rev range,not at all sure about turbos,have got decat exhaust and dump valve everything else standard....so far...

thanks for all advice !!

Vf28 would have been on as standard.....which is a quick spooling charger, that can be had for not much wedge.

It depends on if you are going to get the car remapped. If you just want to bolt a turbo on and not bother with a remap, i would agree with rooferman and use a VF28.
If you are going to get a remap then go for either a vf34 or a td05 16g to get the maximum from the standard injectors and tmic.

if i went for a vf34 would i need to get remap straight away,if so might need to go for a vf28 till i get some cash sorted!!

VF28 is a nice turbo. If you fit one then have your AFRs checked to ensure all is well. A noticable step up from a TD04.
You should have yellow 440cc injectors.
A VF34 or 35 would be a step up from your VF28 and probably capable of maxing out 440 injectors without many other mods.
You must have a remap with either 34 or 35.

ye probably will try and get vf28 and keep it standard for noe till i save some cash for remap

y not try using an VF23 ? good mid to high rpm

fit a nice vf35 as it will give good responce and will be similar costs to this above turbo
