Default Gudgeon pins

Hi guys,
Im just in the process of strippin my engine (EJ20), just a quick 1, how do you get the gudgeon pins out of the piston. Ive taken the covers off in the block and taken the circlip out of the piston but cant actually get the pi out, is there a special tool. Thanks in advance.

Well there is a special tool. There is also the bodgit way by using a metal rawlbolt (the ones that expand that go into concrete used for bolting big stuff to walls and floors) and replace the bolt with longer item to get enough reach

I'm sure other have devised equally as interesting ways to pull them out

If you're carefull you can push the pin out from the other side using a 6mm bar that's long enough to reach through from one side to the other.
