Default would i need a remap straight away!

my 99uk turbo is due for mot next month. so i was thinking about getting a de cat dwn pipe fitted at same time.would i be able to run car without a remap or is it a bit risky. got a map planed for future but bit skint at mo! so this us only mod i can afford at present! already got afterburner de cat cntr and bck box! as always thanks for your help.....

You can run the car without a map however, it could cause the car to run lean due to the increased boost levels. The safest option would be to re-map the car.

Re-mapping it would also allow you to take advantage of the full potential of the mods you have; thus increasing the power/driveablility.

Keep your eye out in the Group Buy section, you may be able to get a cheap price on a ECUTEK map.
