REALLY annoying vibration from front!!
I have avibration lkike the wheels are not balanced at between 80 - 100 mph. I have had a disc and pad change but nothing else and it doesnt do it on braking so i am guessing not the discs?? any ideas its doing my head in.
Had wheels balanced twice and no change.

what wheels have you got and have you hit any kerbs or pot holes with them wheels?
If there big wheels then they can buckle alot easier than smaller wheels, I would have thought you would feel it at slower speeds two though. Just a thought.
Could be ball joints....

id go for wheels....since its awd though get all 4 balanced...wont cost the earth and the tyre center will look at you gone out when you just ask for the wheels ballanced. If that doesnt cut it id go for 4 wheel tracking...but its unlikely to cause vibration. lower front balljoints but these usually are not noticed till the MOT...they worsen and you get used to them...they cause floaty steering responce.....drive the car and over time you adapt....then front anti roll bar bushes...they usually cause a knocking through the steering wheel over bumps.....however if you drive on experimantal road surfaces at high speeds the effect can feel similar to wheel balancing.

As crazy as it may sound, it might be worth moving the wheels on the hubs, if it were me, i'd move them one stud clockwise at a time, and see if it makes any difference..... lots of agro i know, but worth it it it works!!

Have similar problem, vibration through s/wheel at 80 or 40 - not consistent appears and disappears. Just finished freeing one seized piston in the brake caliper - maybe connected to vibration -time will tell.

The discs can't be loose, as they are clamped on by the wheel nuts, well, unless the wheels are loose of course.... which might account for the vibration aswell... i doubt that though...
As for rotating the wheels, sometimes, (rarely) the centre of the wheel isn't centred to the bolt holes, they balance the wheels using a cone in the centre hole, the more expensive balancing machines use a kind of spider to clamp the wheel on the machine as if it's bolted to the car....
Move them one stud at a time.....

This may sound strange, but you can get vibration through the steering wheel at higher speeds if a rear wheel is out of balance.
Does not happen at slower speeds, only motorway speeds and above.
And you get it through the steering wheel too.

What sort of discs have you got, i had a very similar problem recently as i forgot to clean up the face of the alloy bell before bolting on a new rotor. The resulting corrosion made the disc sit slightly off on the bell and caused a nasty vibration after a few 1000 miles.

right this may or may not sound strange tyres
go well what they call square they devlope a
bubble on them which make's it wobble check
them by jacking them up and spinning your wheels
look for a type of bump on the tread.
use to be a mechanic seen it before very rare
just fault in tyre's. have a go and let me know.

Possibly a badly seated disc on the hub.
Old discs ALWAYS corrode on the inner face and a quick replacement may have missed cleaning the hub face properly.
Once the wheel is on any foreign body will be clamped in place and even removing the wheel may not dislodge it.
Try taking the wheels off and rotating the disc several times on the hub.
(Or better still take it back and get whoever fitted them to do it!)
The other possibility is a wheel bearing on its way out but it seems too much coincidence that it would show up immediately after a bralke change.

A week of commuting after freeing the seized brake piston it turned out that was the cause of my vibration. I can't quite figure out why but before the vibration was bad enough to render the rear view mirror unusable when it occoured. Now - no vibe at all.
