Sick like parrot
Ok engine fault code 22 Knock sensor.. Only getting this when warm over 50% on temp gauge. Car runs fine before normal running temp have rest ecu still comes up with 22. Do you reckon it’s a new sensor time ?? Car really un drivable over 3500 when warm

some earth through the body (1 wire), some have an earth that goes to the ECU(2 wire).
I assume you can use the same for both and just use the signal wire for the earlier 1 wire sensor, as it will earth through the bolt.

yip its the one wire type stripped it all today did all 3 checks from the service manual one check was a little off rest fine. Car ran fine took it a wee run everything a1 then it got to 51 - 52 % on the temp guage up came the check light then it cough and splutter over 3500. Ill reset ecu in the morn then check the code again. oh happy new year

The fans won't come on if the water sensor fails cold, when they do fail cold the ECU thinks its -46 C (so the PFC said) so it runs really rich and the engine chokes. Could it be this?
