Default best thing to flush out things after porting

Whats best to use to get rid of all the filings after porting? Ive just been having a play about and there are plenty of filings as a result which need to be removed.....

any thoughts?

Heard a dishwasher is the weapon of choice. But I used a hosepipe, a load of rags and a hairdryer. It seemed to do the trick.

just some rags, poke em through and pull em out. I didn't like the idea of getting them wet as the particles of metal will stick more easily.
