Does anyone know if thees an option on the Apexi controller that turns on the CEL when you go over the apexi's limit to monitor boost I think its 1.25 bar.

Reason- even though the car has been set up and mapped for 1.45 bar it seems that every time I stray over 1.2/1.25 the cell light comes on, theres no knock, inj's are fine. In fact everything seems fine.

Any ideas?

the power FC can be programmed to make the CEL come on for more than just boost issues.

Maybe your INJ are maxing out and that brings on the CEL. You have to talk to the mapper and ask what he set the CEL to come on for.

Thanks, the inj's are fine only up to 70% , I could call the mapper, but its the weekend and I just wondered if anyone knew of a specific reason why the CEL would come on at over 1.2 bar boost.

 

Could be set at maz torque, gear shift.......

 

Hmmm that sounds interesting, any idea where that setting is on the Commander unit?

There is a setting on the Commander to push the Boost monitoring level up, I take it that the Cel just illuminates & does not flash ??
That is the Boost level if it Illuminates.
I cannot remember where the seting is though, The car did it on me when i 1st had it mapped.

PFC has no such features

 

Assuming it is boost related.. go to ETC --> Function Select and toggle "Boost Control Kit"..

You should also be able to tell by going to ETC --> Sw/Sensor Check when the CEL is on and the problem should be highlighted on the screen..

Yep the cel light comes on and stays on steady no flashing.
