Default Identifying your engine

I have done loads of searches, this site and google etc. I cannot find, (if it exists), a way of finding out all the information about your scoob engine by its engine number, year, sti, model car etc etc???, does anyone know if this information can be obtained?? My car has had an engine swap just want to identify the engine, it does have the 5th injector to support the ra theory but i just want to find out more as it interests me, any help appreciated, thankyou

You need to identify the engine code: this, rather than the engine number, will identify it.

A&B-Series WRX Type-RA engine code for example: EJ20G DW1HJ. Its the highlighted part that is particularly relevant.

If you find it on the engine; I'll look on my list and tell you what it was originally fitted in.

under the intercooler, where the block and gearbox meet,
hi GC8, i was wondering if you could look up EJ20-212LL for me please? But i think that could be the original engine though.
