Removing inlet manifold 02
Hi
Could anyone tell me how to remove the inlet manifold on an 02 WRX as would like to paint it,also what is the best paint to use.
Looking to put the spacers in to when i refit it.
Is this an easy job to do,any clips need replacing?
Cheers

it comes off how you would expect when looking at it
you will need new gaskets ( not sure how many when your using the spacers)
remember to pull the connection to the fuel pump in the drivers side foot well and run the car till the petrol runs out - save's a bit of mess
ow and needless to say block off all the ports to the engine while you have the manifold off
is it really worth it - you could look at revesing the fuel and or doing something with the tgv's just to make it more worth while

Seriously it's not worth it. I just spent several days (on and off) removing mine so I could change the inlet pipe. Just wait until something breaks and you have a reason to do it.

You could save yourself the hassle of painting by getting refurbed paited replacement and pick up the spacers at the same time
