Default Do i really need 550's

MY00 2000uk........ sti 5/6 tmic, walbro 255, td05fe, green panel filter, 3 port boost sol, samco hoses, full decat, Harvey's ported headers & up pipe, exedy clutch & lightened fly, it has been mapped for a vf28 but seeing i have changed the the turbo again, is it necessary to change the injectors this time to 550's before remap? Could i just fit a fpr? Where would be the best place to buy 550's from if needed, and what bhp/torque do you think i will have after remap?

Cheers

it wouldnt be neccessary, however it depends if you are going to be planning further mods (you probably will!)

It is far safer running bigger injectors at a lesser capability than running smaller injectors at a higher capacity, thats my opinion anyway (ie better having more headroom) but it depends on how far you are going

I was going front mount but decided not to, would rather keep tmic. I'm looking for 330/300 i will be happy with that. When i had the vf28 i was told the injectors were nearly on the limit. I'm led to believe the td05 is more demanding (fuel) etc

Cheers

My 440's run 97% IDC according to the PFC on the VF28 at 6,800rpm.
They still run standard pressure, so I would think an FPR running slightly higher pressure, in conjunction with you Walbro would be sufficient.

At O/E fuel pressure, 440cc injectors are streached by 330 bhp so to stay with these and go much further you will need to lift the fuel pressure which is not necessarily the best way to do it.
With all supporting mods a good VF28 can exceed 350 bhp.
