import wrx over boosting on uk fuel
i have an impreza wrx import 1993 and i had a dawes device fitted to it and after that it started over boosting but not all the time, normaly the turbo boost at 3,500 rpm but when it messes about it boosts at 2,000 rpm and starts hitting the fuel cut point. i was useing unleded 95, i started useing v power 98 and it stopped over boosting, it stayed like that for about 4 weeks and at about this time i used a octane boost and it started over boosting. so once again i went back to super unleded NOT V POWER and it stayed the same (over boosting), so i thought that it could have not been the fuel, now i have gone back to V POWER and it seems to have stoped it for the time being.
can any one tell me if they have had the same problem and is the U8 ecu i have Good enough to run in the uk
The car will not go over 1 bar, if it dose it hits the fuel cut point
the mods i have
TD05H sti hybrid turbo
performance exhaust (center de cat)
hks decat
induction kit
manuel boost control (dawes device)Thanks David

The u8 one of the standard 93wrx ecus(W6 and 2C are the others) but since you're running on anything but normal unleaded there shouldn't be a problem.
Has the ecu has been altered in anyway (extra chip).
I'm running the w6 and only get the problem when its cold.
If you want you can borrow my u8 (its spare) not sure that would be the problem tbh (i'm in Poole)

if it is doing it at 2000rpm, then its unlikely to be fuel cut due to overboost as your turbo (assuming a td05) will not make enough boost at those rpm's. Could be some kind of loose connection somewhere especially around the boost control pipework.
