Default Top mounts

Arite pps, My car has got a coilover suspension set up with rose jointed topmounts. They came on the car when it was imported. The top mounts knock on all four corners and it is sooooo annoying . Does anyone know anything about these set-ups and what i can do to sort it out? Cheers.

1
Fit stock Sti top mounts and camber bolts in each strut/hub.
You can get decent enough camber adjustment.
2
Consider Noltec or the excellent Whiteline top mounts for the front and Sti rubbers for the rear.
The front will deliver all the castor and camber you need.
Remember the camber bolts in the rears!

You might be very lucky and the alternative top mounts will slide on and fit.

3
Remove all Jap top mounts, remove the knackerd bearings and visit a Bearing Supplier for 4 replacements.
I have spherical bearing tops in all corners and they are very very quiet (they are AST after all), but I do place a drop of engine oil in each every month...

A bit for you to consider.

Graham

Set of Sti rubber tops: David @ Welcome to the API website i would pay no more than £100 the set.
Noltec/Whiteline: about £100 second hand (there is a road and a race grade Noltec)
The Whiteline ones are all new and look really good.
Google Whiteline UK up in Scotland. Contact Job there and he will sort you out.
Bearings? Surprisingly expensive. Expect about £20 each!

All the above will need a re-alignment so add another £200 or so.

Graham.
