avcr on chip
my ecu has a generic chip in it (running 1bar) - '93wrx
I'm thinking of putting an avcr on to run 1.2bar
but what about fuelling? will ecu adjust to the extra boost and compensate?
a friend of mine has been running 1.1bar on standard ecu (with fuel cut defencer) with a bleed valve for 2 years now and no problems!
can avcr adjust injector duty?
cheers chappies

Just because your mates has run for 2 years doesn't mean yours will. Some early WRX will detonate like buggery even at 1bar.
I expect the fuel-cut in you ECU has been set to 17.5psi so at 1.2bar (17.4psi) you may well hit the fuel-cut.
It also depends what's been mapped in your ECU. Most of the remapped/generic chips are mapped to either 15.5, 15.96, 16.11 or 16.5psi depending on where they came from and from whome. Although there were a few in the early days running just under 1bar.
who mapped your ECU, if it's a single chip whats the code on the label ?
