Hi not long had my first scooby it is an import my 95 wrx the problem is when i floor it in second the power comes on and off which is embarrassing if you have a passenger when they nearly nut the dash only seems to happen in second gear any ideas?

 

Fuel cut perhaps?

 

If it's really violent it's hitting fuel-cut for some reason.
If it's lots of miss-fires then its most likley the coil packs are failing/crumbling and giving a week spark which is quite common on the Pre96 cars.

 

Definately sounds like fuel cut, got a boost gauge?
