Default STi8 with TD05 20g no power until 4750

Car has standard engine and intercooler, apscaik, ported headers, custom inlet pipe, td05 20g and Andy F ecutek.

Up at Andy's car produced 380bhp and 351lb ft. Car felt superb until I got home and I now am getting no ***** until 4750 @ 1.5bar.

Can't understand it a,m getting 1bar @ 3250 but car doesn't seem to want to pull until I get near the 5k mark.

I have checked for leaks and can't find any I am at a loss

I hope to do more checks when the roads are a bit quieter.

I am indeed Chris

I tend to suspect the turbo as it was one of these replica 20G's that Alan got cheap from a mate. Its not a genuine Mitsubishi turbo as far as I could see.
Have you checked the intercooler casing crimps are OK Alan ? Those boost spikes that you had on your last turbo may have caused it to weaken or crack ?
Difficult to diagnose without seeing it, did you do the boost test I mentioned via email ?

Just to update,

Car is overboosting to 1.7/8 bar in 4th and above.

I am in the process of getting an avcr with the hope the problem will be sorted with that.

If it was ok during, and after mapping, and then it wasn't, something has happened since to effect it.

You need to identify what's happened, such as a split boost hose.

AVCR sorted the problem straight away, looks like old soleniod was the culprit and couldn't hold boost properly.

Cheers Andy and all you other guys
