Removing engine soon ......
A couple of days ago, I noticed my clutch is slipping on full chat and am going to get stuck in and do it myself
A couple of questions for anyone in the know.
1. Can the engine be removed with most ancillaries still fitted including exhaust manifolds and up-pipe/turbo. Car has no A/C so all that gubbins is not present thankfully.
2. Any suggestions for any other jobs whilst the engine is on the bench. I am thinking cambelt as a minimum. Any other suggestions ??
3. Any other general suggestions to make life easy.... other than find a good specialist and hand over lots of beer tokens.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Most major things (turbo, up-pipe, manifold etc) can be left on......but removing the engine isn't exactly an easy job. I did it with the help of a friend when my bottom end let go, but I'd never do it again. Best bet is probably to drop the box instead?

Drop the box with a mate, and make sure you dissasemble the clutch mech and take out the big Allen out of the side of the box and take the release pin (read huge rod) this is taken out with an M6 bolt.
