hi eveyone just fitted front monut intercooler and hks mushroom air fillter and car has started to backfire but not all the time apart from that running fine also car was running mint before mods.can anyone help thanks eddsti

i have to agree with leonpole on that. was wondering what model this was fitted to? never experience this unless you use a bov dumping to atmosphere

 

i get a pop or a bang after some gear changes an rev i rev the car, been told its normal once u start to mod the car

 

popping//backfiring is usually associtaed with running rich, however with a new filter and a fmic I would say there is more chance of the car running leaner....

Mine pops and bangs if i rev it to 3k, panel filter and full decat are the only engine mods...

 

mine pops, bangs ansd spits out flames once warm, also pops and bangs everytime i come off the throttle over 3k rpm, but its mapped to run rich.

prob worth getting it mapped to get best from mods, but if its just when your giving it beans or at higher revs, unless its misfireing, just sounds like unburnt fuel in exhaust igniting and poping so nothing to eorry about, great fun

 

i wouldnt worry mine started doin it as soon as i decatted it. does it lot more wiv the front mount on,
