prodrive ECU
Hi guys,
The previous owner has informed me that he has had prodrive tuning goodies installed on my car including the ECU.
If this is the case, can I increase performance and also how can I tell if it is true about having the prodrive ECU fitted.
Thanks in advance,
Paul

As said above if it's the 99/00 the ecu nuber on the sti sticker should be A18-000-DIX and it should have the blue prodrive intercooler piping, back box and high level rear wing and you can't remap the prodrive ecu.

It should have a pink STI sticker fitted!!! I bought a Prodrive ECU and wasnt sure if it was genuine but when i got it on the rolling road at Prosport it was knocking out 265bhp and 272lbs of torque so you should be able to tell the diffrence if not put it on a rolling road!!!

Noob question...
Can I just replace my standard ECU on a '99 UK Turbo with a Prodrive one and bob's your uncle? (I have Ninja de-cat centre section and Racebox rear can) Does anything else need to be done and is it safe for my car?
Where could I get one and how much are they? Or would I be better going for the downpipe/remap route...?

Yes just a straight swap plug and play. just fitted mine over the weekend and to say the least it's brilliant. you should really fit the prodrive intercooler piping with the prodrive ecu as well as an exhaust which you already have.
Put it this way if you fit a dawes device with a full de-cat on a prodrive ecu you will get 270 bhp bit cheaper than a £600 -£700 remap
