Default Classic Exhaust

Hi guys!

Need some advice, whats the best exhaust system in your opinion? Best tuners and best route to get to 300bhp on a uk turbo?

Cheers.

take a look at Revolution mate, very good exhaust and very well priced, if money isn't a problem then also look at RCMS

Cheers will do , would a turbo back system be better? Does this mean i would have to get a remap or would it run ok? Ive heard so many theories about detonation problems, or are these old wifes tales.

Matt most ppl will recommend hayward and scotts afterburner details can be found on scoobyworlds website just depends on what you want and the hassle youre prepared to put up with. Most ppl go for full decat though sportscats or the option not to go for the downpipe aswell is up to you but if youre after performance gains sorta defeats the object(imo)though its aggro at mot time unless youre in the know (as could mean putting old downpipe on for mot).No cats will almost certainly fail emissions test though ive heard of some still passing it.
Next thing to think about is that afterburner systems are amongst the loudest-so may suit ya may not,and lastly what sorta size tailpipe your after some systems come with relitavely std sized tailpipes others are up to around 5inch really is down to what you prefer. For me it were between a blitz nur spec/afterburner/ninja there are plenty to choose from to be fair but wanted an exhaust to make a difference not just for looks-afterburner claims pretty big bhp difference (again see scoobyworlds site)
By the way matt ran mine for 26,000miles so far without a remap without any problems dont believe everything you read lol.Boils down to the fact that i see it as being pointless getting it mapped now then again when i get a frontmount and uprated fuelpump/reg and a few other bits and bobs. Will get it mapped when ive got all me stuff together or im forced to by what ive added, aint got money to burn.

I have a full decat on my UK MY99, no remap so far (but its comming) and have had no problems with the running at all, my system is a RCMS wrapped 3" downpipe, with a 3" Revolution system mated to it, went on a treat and sounds lovely, not too loud, but plenty enough to know what you got.

Mine, (late '98 model), has full group N decat from TSL, STi6 intercooler, HKS recirc dumpvalve, LINK ecu mapped by Bob Rawle at BRD.

No idea of final bhp, but it's VERY quick
