standard plastic intercooler y pipe

standard plastic intercooler y pipe
can these hold 21 psi of pressure as im going to change my samco one (fitted now) back to it to see if this elimates the air leak im getting, where the y pipe fits now onto the turbo is an incredibly fine fit and the old jubilee clip has eaten into it and caused a very small tear in the silicone and i cant seem to get a proper seal around it, the rest of the hose is fine with no tears in it
if any one has any other suggestions where the air is leaking from please throw all advice this way. basically when i start hitting some decent boost you can hear air escaping at quite a bit of pressure it still hits its maximum psi but obviously takes longer getting there im now driving off boost at the mo

try moving the intercooler 'ends' down the hard pipe a little. should give you more room at the turbo end.
Leaving the pipe in a bucket of hot water for a few mins before fitting will also give you more flex in it to stretch...
