Default Newage cooler to classic - vibration

Just want to know how those who have fitted a newage cooler to a classic delt with the vibration.

Mine knocks once on startup and a couple of times on switch off. I presume its knocking on the triangle piece of bulkhead above the engine/gearbox mount. I was thinking of put some foam strip on here as a cushion.

Ta.

The triangle piece of metal on top of the rear engine mount has to be trimmed back. Keep the part that directly above the mount - about 3" square, but the angled parts on each side can be removed completely.

Did you also trim back the manifold or intercooler? I trimmed about 1/4" from the intercooler side, rather than the manifold.

You don't say what year your classic is, but this is for a later Sti intercooler into a '94 WRX ra.

My car is MY00. The cooler is a newage STI (from a WR1 no less - no difference though).

Don't fancy cutting the bulkhead - might trim the cooler up a bit but the DV is all but touching the coilpack (already dropped a good 5mm). Can't come too much forward but plenty of up movement so up she goes!

Going to get a splitter to aid cooling over IC surface area too.

Just going to pack it with a few washers for now. Once its "Just so" I hope to get some pretty brackets made up.
