new turbo = more bhp?
Sorry for a bit of a n00b question but would you get an increase in BHP by just replacing the stock TD04 with say, a VF34 and no other mods and no remap?
It's a quiet day at work so I'm pricing up some hypothetical upgrades and the order in which to do them.
Standard Blobeye WRX except for
- Revolution Apollo induction kit
- Complete PPP exhaust system (inc. high flow cat).
next upgrade would be the brakes to some AP 6 pots but then what?
Say you'd have to wait 6-8 months between the next upgrade and the one after that. Would you go for the bigger turbo and wait for the remap, or have a remap, save for the turbo, then save again for the map to be done again (at a reduced cost obviously cause you'll have the licence).

changing the turbo and not remapping it will almost certainly cause you more expence than saving foar all the bits you want and remapping once ......a td04 is greatly different to a vf34, the fuel and ignition maps in your ecu will not cope with the extra air pumped into your engine by the vf34.

Keep the TD04 and have it remapped , would expect to see 260 - 270 with your current spec and 280 - 290 on RCM headers and uppipe...
