Default codes and sensor postions

friday my wrx 93 import started running funny on boost, Missing about 4-5 thousand revs.
Was 20 miles from home so kept below 3k and slowly went home.
Did an ecu code check which came up with error codes 32 and 45
32 = oxygen senor 1
45 = pressure sensor ??

Where are these located?
and would the oxygen sensor be a 3 wire one?

Thanks

oxygen sensor is in the exhaust in the 93 usually in the headers.. will be 3wire yes.

pressure sensor is also known as the MAP sensor.. is on the drivers inner wing and square like a smapp box of matches with one vacuum pipe connection and a n electrical plug.

I would reset the ecu and see if the problems returns.

When you say 'missing' was it like someone stamping on the brakes (ie: was it fuel cut)? If so, it sounds more likely to be the MAP sensor.
I don't think the lambda sensor would normally cause problems on boost.

no its not like hitting the fuel cut limit, ( it was when the boost was turned up too far.)
If it was the MAP sensor would it show up on the ecu error check?

The MAP sensor is the no. 45 error code.

It might be an idea to reset the ECU, then go for a drive and see what codes come up. The lambda sensor will normally light the CEL when driving on part throttle up a hill, the MAP sensor is more likely light the CEL when driving on full throttle / boost.

Could be that the MAP code is from the time you had the boost up too high!

reset ecu today, then after a short drive, came up with code 44 and 45.
Getting annoying this now.
May try replacing MAP and boost solenoid - or is there anything else to replace these with such as ecutek????

you checked all the connections? perhaps a split vacuum line?

check also the filter in the line if it has one is not cracked.

hi Baldrick,

did you have any luck resolving this problem? my 95 scoob has been doing exactly the same thing .... missing around 3k rpm as if the fuel flow has been cut.

ECU fault code coming up as 45, which is apparently:

"45 Pressure Sensor Duty Solenoid (Turbo Models)"

Is this the MAP sensor?

Many thanks,
elpablo

ok, found the problem after a little searching:

one of the hoses had come off my pressure solenoid sensor.

have fun ...
