external wastegate creeping boost
dont know if anyone can help got a a turbosmart ext wastegate , can not control the boost after 5000 rpm carrys on building up . set it at 1.5 bar ish but in 4th and 5th it creeps , car is running a gems and 38mm turbosmart wastegate. any help apprecated gazza

What engine, & turbo have you got. Also, what have you got on the waste gate exit ?
38mm Tial is good for well over 500bhp, not certain about the Turbosmart.
It may be the WG/boost control has been set up. Do you know what spring rate is in the WG ? have you tried just running on spring pressure.

More important than the size is the fitment. If you have a high flowing gate, but **** poor take off and pipework to, and from it, you are not going to have much luck.

sorry for late replies on this car has not been used for a while . its a forged 2.5 build with a gt 30 using i used scooby mania pipework and after the wastegate i run it to vent on a piece of pipe same dia as the entry 38mm about 150mm long
