Default manifold advice

i would love some advice from people that have "THE KNOWLEDGE" HAHA.
AFTER THINKING SERIOUSLY FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW ABOUT GETTING PORTED oR/AND POLISHED HEADERS ,.
just seen this months edition of japanese performance mag and thier project pheonix ,they fitted ported n polished headers plus up pipe,
well they lost power bhp and torque, they adised against fitting them plus issues of high detenation were talkedabout.

i have my00 wagon,
high flow cat dwn pipe,
center de-cat,prodrive b/b,
walbro 255 ,induction,forge dv.

for 400pounds what can i do for more power wise.
please advise.
havnt got loads of money plus afraid of detenation.

Best option would be to save a bit more and go for a tek 3 remap
