Engine Light
Guys,
Just a quick one. I picked up a Scooby 01 wrx and shortly after driving it the engine light came on.
I changed the plugs and had the ECU reset by the AA (!). The codes suggested 3 cylinders misfiring which was no surprise as the manual states as much. The light came back on 100 miles later.
However - I stuck some Total Ultra Low Sulphur (basically regular unleaded) in the tank as opposed to Optimax / Vpower. 100 miles later - the light disappeared.
Lesson - unless you re-map to take this richer fuel, you'll misfire.
