Default Which Injectors

Advice needed ref what size injectors to go for, ie 440cc (modified) or 550cc,

Engine spec will be,

VF34 (new)
2.0lt (open deck)
Forge Pistons
Steel rods
RCM oil pump
Crank (still looking, any ideas)
STi V3 heads
FMIC (Lateral)
Rotated inlet manifold
Inlet manifold spacers (AKA Carl Davey)
Billet Fuel Rails + paralell fuel mod (AKA Carl Davey)
SX fuel regulator
Uprated fuel pump (Walbro 255ltr)

I think that covers it all, !!!

Thanks in advance.

550cc..

you could get away with 440cc and increase the fuel pressure slightly but 550cc would be ideal.. allowing for head room when you get bored and change the turbo.

Have had problems getting SARD injectors to seal properly. . you need a fitting kit with them which just uses large Orings to bridge the gap.. almost in the hope they seal.

Have you considered getting your OEM 440's modified by Mark @ Lateral John? I'd imagine his v-flow mod would put them in the 550-600cc bracket. It may be worth an email? He can flow match them too if he's sent enough injectors - i have a couple of sets of 440's here if you're interested?

Some 550's I used for 2 years, although may not be matched now as I had to replace 2 that got broke during engine work..

This is with a Pavlo phase 1 fitting kit. Lower price if kit not needed. ( Have 1 phase 2 person interested in injectors but he needs other kit ).

Hi Carl,

Will be sending Mark a e-mail tonight with a list of requirements in the hope that we can come to some sort of agreement, ref the 440`s you have, they would be of use, if only just to get a matched set (near as dam)..

John, with twelve injectors i'd imagine he'd be able to match them fairly well. I'd be interested in having my two sets cleaned, modified and flow tested/matched for my own purposes. Let me know.
