Question APEXI FC or PE Phase 2: Pls help me decide!

Having read SN to much recently and David from API mentioning ECU mapping, ...I've suddenly got the urge again to get some more power for my car!

The car: UK MY98(R) Turbo 2000
Running: STi panel filter, full decat zorst
The options: PE Phase 2 or APEXI FC+HC

Now I am really struggling to decide (if I do it) which to go for...

Both options with my *stock internals/parts should get me roughly the same power increase.

*I have had differing opinions on needing a fuel pump upgrade and solenoid. Some say no others say yes...

The PE Phase 2 is almost £300 less but PE are a long way for me to go.

The APEXI has the flexibility for me to change to a cr@p map if I have to leave the car anywhere which is attractive but otherwise all the flexibility benefits are not needed. I dont plan any other power mods for this car in the future so I dont need the future proofing.

So,...on the one hand the PE solution seems the most cost effective for pretty much the same result but the APEXI route "feels" more attractive to me and can be done locally which is very useful - especially if I have any teething trouble and need help.

I'd be interested in any opinions from people that have one or the other or have had/got both. Also just general discussion on the pro/cons of both.

Please help me decide!

Cheers

Molds
