Default Key Reprogramming

Hi folks

I'm not all that tech savvy so does anyone know what it takes to get a key reprogrammed ? Reason I ask is cos when the dealer I bought from picked my car (WRX 2005) up to fit the prodrive they only took one key (didn't tell me they would need the spare key too) so when I got it back the spare key wouldnt start the engine (well it fires it up but as soon as u release it the engine cuts out). Do I need to take just car and key to my nearest subaru specialist (Zen performance) and if so how much would it cost ?

The dealership is an over an hours drive away whereas zen is 5 mins, so if it isnt going to cost much I would rarther get it done locally.(if possible).

Any ideas?

Only Paul can tell you how much it will cost.
He reprogrammed mine as part of a remap onto a different ECU, so both keys had to be on site during the work.
