Would an unequal SS Manifold give a more deeper burble
As heading really. I want more of a flat 4 burble from my car and was wondering if an SS manifold would alter the noise produced. I've got an H&S BB which I'm considering swapping as I'm starting to find it a bit too much.

No because generally you find the aftermarket headers although unequal are still more equal than the standard subaru ones as well as not being made of heavy cast iron. This is turn produces a noise that is perhaps burbly on idle but gets a little raspy then smooths out to a top end woosh.
I am using v2 gruppe-s manifold and this is what i have experienced.

^^^ What he said...
Fitting any aftermarket steel headers will change the sound. You'll lose the bass/throb from it to a degree.
Porting the standard headers is also reputed to change the sound...
