if you go equal you'll loose the 'scooby' sound. it will just sound like any other 4 cylinder

chatting to alloy off here the other day about this, apparentley fitting equal length headers (unegual being standard i presume ) will rid the scoob of the burble and making it much more like a superbike sound... so im told. but the performance gains are quite considerable im also told. i like my deep burble so im staying with the standard headers to be honest.

andy.

if ive got i the wrong way round somebody correct me before i make a boob of myself

I believe equal length headers are supposed to give more torque than unequal length headers.

unequal = scooby burble

equal = more power and torque

I have equal length manifold on my scoob and still have a warble, less than before but still there, I was told that the std. manifolds limit the power that can be achieved but are not the most important unless you get to BIG figures. Someone on here will be able to tell you more on the benefits as I just did what I was told by the tuners.

Its a bit more "jet fighter/rally car" sound to it now and people think my car sounds quiet on the inside you hear the whistle from the twin scroll turbo, great sound
