Default hot engine

had a decat downpipe fitted last week, now everything under the bonnet is hot to touch even the bonnet arm,

just wondered if this was normal with a decat.

I know the engine gets hot but its much hotter than normal.

Heat shield should of been trimmed and refitted - it's too hot in my opinion.

Can't be running at all well in stop start traffic that hot - inlet temps must be sky high.

Even without the wrap it shouldn't really get that hot - come to think of it though all the under bonnet stuff on mine has been very hot on occassional, can remember even the bonnet arm being pretty hot too... could well be nothing to worry about.
