Default VF35 users. HELP

I dont know if you can and share your knowledge with me. i live in PERU. southamerica.

i have a Impreza GT 98 with the following mods:

1) ORIGINAL EXHAUST (WITHOUT CATS).
2) COLD AIR INTAKE WITH K&N 6 INCH. AIR FILTER.
3) VF35 IN REPLACE OF ORIG TD04L. CURRENT BOOST LEVEL: 18 psi
4) STANDAR MANUAL BOOST CONTROLLER, TURBO XS
5) APEXI AIR FLOW CONVERTER II. (ONLY MODIFICATE THE AIR-GAS MIX).
6) WALBRO 255 HIGH PRESSURE.

i have some problems of performance like: boost level not constant (with pics of 1.5 - 2 PSIs), etc and i want to share experiences and receive advice from you. i am doing 1/4 mile time about 13 seconds at 110 MPH aprox. i think i am not getting the juice from the vf35 because with the TD04L i did 13.5 in the past.

I have some money to spend and the options are:

2.5 inches downpipe??
Orig. intercooler Samco pipes??
Another boost controller?? wich one would you recomend?
Etc, Etc etc.

Can you give me your hotmails for chat by messenger. i found it easier than here.

Thanks in advance.

Hi mate,

Your spec isn't ideal, especially without a remap. You could be risking det actually. DO you have a knocklink?

This is how a VF35 upgrade should be done IMHO:

Of course I'm biased , but my car now produces the best part of 320hbp and ft lbs torque, so I think I'm justified in being confident in this spec.

Speak to David at APi if you need help- top bloke, excellent advise, no BS.

You need a remap. Which could be tricky in Peru, but there you go. My 98 WRX is remapped with an Apexi Power FC and boosts up to 1.4 bar. If you're stuck at 18psi you're not seeing the performance you should be able to get with a VF35, although you're not far off.

i have the option for a complete stand alone HALTECH system. what do you say?

Is it a good one? any experience?

thanks in advance!
